Civil Structural Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing the execution of work on assigned projects, including profit and loss responsibility.
Skills / Responsibilities:
- Conscientious implementation of the Helm Group Safety Policy
- Establishing the project budget, with feedback from the project team
- Issuing the necessary subcontracts and purchase orders to “buy the project out.”
- Pre-construction planning and development of work plans
- Project scheduling and planning – anticipating needs for contingency plans.
- Oversight of job surveying
- Coordination of labor and equipment with the General Field Superintendent
- On Site equipment management
- Regular oversight of job cost and production levels in relation to work plan & schedule.
- Oversight of accounts payable
- Timely issue of billings for completed work.
- Timely processing of all documentation required by the engineer, owner, and state agencies.
- Timely processing of all documentation and reports required by the Helm Group
- Maintenance of accurate job files
- Assistance in developing bids.
- Working to maintain positive client relations.
- Knowledge of scheduling software (MS Project, Primavera).

- People skills necessary to interact in a positive way with a project team, engineers, and owners.

- A working knowledge of project management tools and techniques such as contract management and scheduling
- An understanding of job cost accounting and tracking procedures

Location:
Freeport, IL
Requirements:
- A 4-year degree in engineering or construction management and 2 to 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer.
OR
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction field with 3 to 5 years of supervisory responsibilities.
Salary & Benefits:
Range: $75,000-$100,000
