Position Overview

We are seeking a Combination Warehouse / Class A Driver preferably with knowledge of electrical construction and tools. This individual will be responsible for manually loading/unloading trucks/gang boxes, as well as driving deliveries in northern Illinois. Must be able to work in a fast-paced industry. This role is located in our Sterling, IL office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to manually load/unload construction equipment from gang boxes.
  • Knowledge of securing long, awkward loads.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.
  • Simple shipping and receiving duties including light forklift duties.
  • Responsible for delivery of tools/material to job sites.
  • Ability to interact professionally with field personnel to coordinate deliveries and pickups.

Requirements

  • Clean Class A (CDL) driver’s license
  • The combined weight of the truck and trailer must be 26,001 pounds or more, and the trailer alone must weigh more than 10,000 pounds.
  • Backing skills required.
  • Knowledge of tools and capability to unload and load heavy items by hand.
  • Must be ok with driving in the Northern Illinois area
  • Pre-Employment DOT physical and drug test
  • 2 years of Experience
  • Construction Background is preferred.

Salary & Benefits

Range: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours per week: 40
