Mechanical,
Inc. was awarded a certificate of commendation from
the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA). Mechanical
was recognized for having the best safety record
for 2007 in the 350,000-500,000 manhour category.
The Mechanical Contractors Association is a vibrant,
growing association of approximately 2,300 mechanical,
plumbing, and service contractors. This award recognizes
outstanding performance of MCA member companies. |

Mechanical,
Inc. was awarded a certificate of commendation
from the Mechanical Contractors Association of
America (MCAA). Mechanical was recognized for
having a lost workday case incident rate at least
25% below the industry average. |
| Conmat
employees attended the annual Mine Safety Adminstration
(MSHA) Spring Thaw/State Grants Safety Conference
on Marth 6th and 7th at Starved Rock Lodge in
Utica, IL. The conference is also sponsored by
the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
At the conference, atendees received an update
from MSHA and instruction on new safety procedures.
Each
year, the two organizations recognize the safety
efforts of the state's aggregate indistry. This
year Conmat's Eustice Portable plant was recognized
for its excellent safety performance. The award
was presented by Mike Woods (right) Mine Safety
and Training Division-Manager for the Office of
Mines and Minerals. Accepting the award (left)

| Conmat
was awarded a certificate of achievement in safety
from the US Department of Labor-Office of Mines
and Minerals. This certificate recognized Conmat's
Dwyer Portable Crushing Spread for it's outstanding
safety record in 2006--18,808 man hours without
a lost workday injury. |

Constructors of Illinois received a certificate
of merit from the American General Contractors (AGC)
of Illinois. This award recognizes Civil's outstanding
safety performance and acknowledges our accident
frequency rate at less than half the construction
industry norm in the 200,000+ man hour per year
category. |

| The
Illinois Aggregate Association Producers (IAAP)
awarded three seperate safety awards to Conmat for
Rock Solid Excellence in Safety. Each of the three
crushing crews were recognized for their outstanding
performance. Conmat
received two awards fromthe MSHA/Department of
Natural Resources/Office of Mines and Minerals
for their impecable safety record. All four crushing
spreads were accident free in 2005. The second
award recognized 7,997 manhours being executed
atthe Eustice Portable plant with zero accidents.

with a certificate for having a accident frequency

Civil Constructors of Illinois
was recently awarded New Bridge Construction of
the Year for 2002 by the Illinois Department of
Transportation. The project being recognized is
the State Street Bridge over the Kishwaukee River
in Belvidere, IL. Personnel key to this project's
success were Project Manager Jeff Boldt and Project
Foremen Russ Thruman, Fritz Thruman and Doug Diddens.
This is the second consecutive year Civil has been
recognized for New Bridge Construction of the Year
in this statewide competition. |

The Mississippi Valley Developers (MVD) and American
General Contractors (AGC) recognized Civil
Constructors of Illinois as leaders
in partnering. They were presented the Mississippi
Valley Partnering Award for their partnering efforts
with the Rock Island Corps of Engineers for their
efforts on the Government Bridge Project. This competition
encompassed various construction projects from several
states located in the Mississippi Valley.

have earned them many accolades from their customers
and peers. Once instance was a recent recognition
by Illinois Department of Transportation for QA/QC
Contractor of the Year for 2001. This was the first
time IDOT has made this award and the QA/QC team
was honored to accept it. |

recognized Mechanical, Inc. for
having the Most Innovative Safety Program. The award
was focused on Target Zero, a safety incentive program
that offers employees weekly safety points redeemable
toward clothing and other merchandise. The Chicago
Branch of MCA serves as a voice of mechanical specialty
contractors in the Chicago area.
