Mechanical’s CAD group uses the latest software and hardware to implement 3-D CAD on our projects. Mechanical began using 3-D CAD in 1995 and has led the industry in its use.

Mechanical uses our CAD experience to coordinate our work with other trade contractors that use 3-D CAD. The integration of the entire project into a BIM model eliminates interferences in the field by resolving conflicts in the model first.

Mechanical uses our CAD group for much more than BIM coordination. We require that 100% of our commercial projects have CAD drawings produced in-house. In addition to coordination drawings, we use CAD to check design drawings, re-route piping for cost savings, provide pipe fabrication drawings, provide workable installation drawings including hanger layouts, and provide as-built drawings.
